What we do
Our overarching aim is to prevent abuse and cruelty to children and young people and to make the world a safer place for them.
We are taking abuse seriously and tackling it now.
It is not always easy to spot signs of abuse and compile data when the understanding of abuse, sexual violence, bullying, harassment, neglect, sexual exploitation is little. As a society, we are still struggling to grasp a hold on these issues and their meanings.
At SCYP, we aim to raise awareness of these issues and get together to tackle these problems. We aim to learn from the best practices that have helped societies in the world to tackle abuse. We will ensure the lessons learnt from around the world are incorporated into our strategies and approaches.
We are taking it seriously. Together we can safeguard children and young people from abuse and cruelty.
We are aware that mostly abuses remain unnoticed, ignored and unreported due to lack of understanding and support. Together we can ensure those who abuse are tried in courts and have access to appropriate treatments where applicable. Together we can also ensure those who are at risk of becoming abusers are offered right and timely support so they can be prevented from committing abuse.
Together we can prevent abuse and safeguard children and young people. There is no taboo in coming together to eliminate sexual abuse, to end violence and to prevent cruelty.
Sexual abuse and cruelty should be the taboos, not the society coming together to prevent it.
